HOW TO ADD A SKETCH ON YOUR CLOSED ORDER
Apologies for any misunderstandings in my previous post! I've had a number of backers email confused as to how to add onto a locked order. If you are interested in a sketch it's very simple to add it on (See below)
Indiegogo has only been a few months, but the Kickstarter ran last year in October! This has been a trying journey that will finally be finished.
Include what type of sketch you would like (QuickSketch, Portrait, Marker, Pen&Ink, or Prem Color)
Include if you would like it in the book or on a separate paper
include which Nexus character you would like

GOURMANDO HARDCOVERS - GETTING CLOSER!
Thank you all so much for your patience as we all endeavor to keep our patience during these truly unprecedented times. Never have I had a book take so long to publish. We were lucky to get the books on a mid June charter and I'm happy to announce they are in port just waiting to be offloaded. We expect them to offload early next week in Boston to slowly make their way to us here.
CUSTOM SKETCH OFFER - NEXUS CHARACTER
As a thank you to everyone who has hung in there with us we are offering an add on of sketches in the books and amazingly low prices. These are for inside the book only. If you wish to have a sketch outside the book that is an option, still at am amazing discount. See prices below.
Quick sketch is something Steve can do in 5 minutes or less.
Portrait (or bust) is similar to the quick sketch, but is a more detailed sketch that Steve takes more time creating.
Marker is 3/4 - full body sketch (Steve's choice as full body doesn't always work). Done in artist marker.
Pen and Ink - Steve BRUSH INKS his work. Similar to the marker, but done in permant india ink. The linework will be more detailed and richer in color than is achievable with a marker.
This is titled "Premium Color" instead of painted because he may use pen and ink with artist pencils or pastels. He may do a watercolor. Medium is up to Steve.

GOURMANDO SHIPPING UPDATE – HARDCOVER BOOKS
Due to port overcrowding the estimated arrival into port is currently July 24th. Add another 2 weeks to get here to Arizona and that is when we can START processing orders to go out. So far the total cost of printing and shipping the book is around $75,000! We’re expecting another $6,000 minimum for shipping between postage and packaging supplies. We always buy new, heavyweight boxes and packaging materials for shipping to ensure safe delivery.
2021 STEVE RUDE SKETCHBOOK
This is being ordered now and turn around will be quick. We anticipate in house arrival around the first week in August, so it should ship the same time as Gourmando.
NEW NEXUS FOR 2022 – RETURN TO THUNEWORLD
Steve is currently working on Nexus: Return to Thuneworld which will be V2 in the Nexus Newspaper saga series. The story is nearly 100 pages long and will take approximately 3 months to pencil and another 1-2 months to ink. From start to finish, as a full time project, Nexus: Thuneworld will take Steve approximately 6-8 months to write, pencil and ink. The entire project including writing, penciling, lettering, coloring, and designers is a whopping $140,000 (an amount that changes as the page count goes up). Around $70,000 of the project cost is paying people working on the project. The smaller projects help mitigate the total cost and keep what we need for the final fundraiser at a reasonable. $50,000 of that is printing with a final $20,000 for shipping costs.

Commissions
Annual sketchbook – adding more private sketchbook pages to appeal to larger audience and making it “not just another sketchbook full of pretty pictures.”
Patreon – We’ve been trying to make this fun and new. Steve has been doing videos as he does the commissions and those are posted as exclusives. We have also been scanning the stages as he does pencils and inks for Thuneworld. That is also an exclusive. Q&As are done and posted regularly and Jessica is doing behind the scenes photos and short videos as well for exclusive content. Patreon.com/steverude
Quarterly Kickstarters followed by IndieGoGo campaign. With industry work dried up, Steve has at least 4 projects he would like to self publish each year. The sketchbook and new Nexus first and foremost. Funds from project keep our lights on and bills paid while Steve works away at Nexus, and helps with the total cost of the Nexus Newspaper Strip.

AUGUST 2021: DRAW NEXUS TIPS AND TECHNIQUES NEW REMASTERED EDITION
We’ve removed the sketch section and are replacing it with the work Steve did on 21 Draw and 3D Total Design PLUS character designs from Gourmando and Thuneworld!
2021: STEVE RUDE UNIVERSITY WITH 21-DRAW
Back in 2017 Steve teamed up with 21-Draw to create a series of instructional videos. Unfortunately, the videos were never finished, but most of the filming was done and paid for. We were able to finally retrieve the raw footage from the video editor in 2020 and are now working with another video editor to finally complete the footage. It’s an expensive process, but we will bring you the first full lesson here with a special discount on the entire series through 21-Draw who will have exclusive access to videos 2-5 for a year. Will go to funding when the first episode is nearing completion.
NEXUS: 40th ANNIVERSARY BOOK
This is currently in the works with a designer who is finally making headway. It’s been over 5 years in the making and been through at least 5 different designers who were overwhelmed with the amount of materieal and a few who made some headway. It’s a ginormous project that is going to be one amazing book. This will go to funding when the book is completed.
STEVE RUDE: ARTIST IN MOTION REMASTERED
The original Artist in Motion book has sold out. We are reprinting it and adding 60 pages to the end plus correcting the editing errors that were missed the first time around. Will go to funding when book is complete.

Steve filmed a special sneak of the hardcover yesterday. It's a pretty amazing book and one that he is extremely proud of. We started the journey with this book is 2015! The 10-pound hardcover will only be sold through us.
